Fearless Powe to Fly Higher
Despite one of the worst storms of the year, the 6th annual Power of Women Conference in Celebration of International Women's Day was a HUGE SUCCESS!!
Thank you to everyone who braved the snow to join us and help us to make this year's conference the spectacular day it was! Especially thank you to our keynote speakers: Marianne Ford, Glenda Brindle and funny lady Tricia Hasenclever! You made us laugh, you made us cry and most of all you each inspired us to live life to the fullest!
A big thank you to all our wonderful workshop facilitators, panelists, sponsors, vendors and particiularly to our Title and VIP Sponsors - Cruise Holidays of Metro East, Princess Cruises, Warrens Printing Place, KPMG and Winmar. The shopping was fantastic, the workshops so informative and the yummy desserts by Ruth's Cakes & Pastries in the afternoon - a special treat!
Thanks so much to Miss Canada International 2008, Alesia Fieldberg for taking time out of her busy tour to join us and enlighten us to her Teddy Bear Campaign for underprivileged children.
Great thanks to our photographer extraordinaire -Trina Astor-Stewart for capturing the day and making so many memories and to all the fantastic committees and volunteers who gave their precious time and energy to make it the best conference yet! Our raffles and ticket auction raised over $1,500.00 toward our POWE fund to help members and their businesses. Way to go everyone and thank you for your generosity!
